Building a Stronger Independent Schools Community

Step 1

Independent Schools Partnership

Schools contribute an annual partnership fee and collaborate with AFIS to grow our national community of supporters of independent schools.

Partner schools offer parents, alumni, and staff FREE lifetime AFIS membership — and share in the revenue AFIS generates.

Step 2

Revenue Sharing & Research Investment

AFIS receives commissions and advertising revenue that we share with our partner schools and member families. We also fund research that benefits the independent schools' community.

There's no cost to families, no mark-up on retail prices — and often, they'll save money.

Members

AFIS shares commission revenue with members, who can choose to donate this to their school or have it paid directly into their bank account.

Partner Schools

AFIS donates a share of commission revenue to partner schools, who are encouraged to utilise these funds for means-tested fee assistance.

Step 3

CISRI Research & Information

CISRI is a not-for-profit organisation commissioning independent, academic research into the individuals who support private education. CISRI is also responsible for dissemination information and campaigning on behalf of all supporters of independent schooling.

AFIS members take part in this research. The insights gathered will deliver robust data on member demographics and the factors driving their school choices.

Remaining commission invested in AFIS growth including shopping APP
Inaugural research project commences

Phase 2

Spring & Summer 2026

25% allocated to AFIS members (who can choose to donate it to their schools)
